AT the July meeting Huw James gave an enthralling talk and slide show on the genera Lycaste, showing the places they grow in Guatemala and Peru. He also brought some plants along as examples including the unusual dark green-flowered Lycaste Locusta - but unfortunately did not have any for sale. There is no meeting in August. There will be a visit to Peter Whites Orchids in Banbury and members will be putting on displays at Rowington Flower Show and Warwick Horticultural Show.
The next meeting on September 3 will be the AGM and members' plant sale. Meetings are held at Arden School, Station Road, Knowle, 2.30pm. Information or advice from 01564 822897.
