YOBS taking part in a dangerous new pastime in Church Hill are "dicing with death", a Redditch councillor has claimed.
Councillor Bill Hartnett, of the Church Hill ward, said it was only a matter of time before the new craze for twisting streetlights around to divert their beam ended in disaster.
"How they get up there to twist the light is beyond me - it doesn't bear thinking about," he said.
"I'm worried sooner or later someone will be electrocuted. They're dicing with death and don't seem to have any regard for others' safety either."
Mr Hartnett said the craze had been going on for some time, but a Redditch police spokesman said they were not aware of any reports.
