GOLFER John Bickerton was unable to reproduce the fine form, which took him to the final four at the British Open this weekend, when he missed the cut at the Deutsche Bank Players' Championship of Europe.
Bickerton, who finished 60th at St Andrews' Old Course last week, ended the Players' Championship on a four-over-par score of 178 after two rounds.
The tournament got of to the worst possible start to when torrential rain forced the first day's play off.
When the event finally got started Droitwich professional Bickerton got off to an excellent start.
Birdies on the tenth and 12th holes in round one saw him on track for making the cut.
However, a disastrous second round saw Bickerton bow out of the tournament early.
He started round two, which was delayed until Saturday, with bogeys on the first two holes.
He then dropped shots on the sixth, seventh, 15th and 17th holes.
