A NEW essential guide for holiday fun means youngsters in the Bromsgrove area need never be bored during the long summer break.

The colour Go4Fun magazine, launched by the district council, is full of hundreds of ideas for making the most of the holidays. Parents should find it invaluable at keeping the youngsters amused during the coming weeks.

Huw Moseley, Bromsgrove District Council's arts development officer, said: "The full glossy magazine has sixteen pages packed with things to do throughout the district this summer to encourage youngsters to meet new friends and experience new challenges."

The guide lists what's on at the Dolphin Centre in Bromsgrove, the Haybridge Sports Centre at Hagley and the Woodrush Sports Centre at Wythall, as well as the very popular street theatre, sports development projects and summer fun schedule in Bromsgrove's Sanders Park.

From multi-activity camps, Saturday morning clubs, football and trampoline courses, high boxing, gymnastics, cricket, netball and a fitness week, there is something for everyone to enjoy. There will also be music, clowns and magic, youth bands, arts and crafts, storytelling, drumming workshops and puppets in the park.

It all adds up to a feast of summertime fun designed to stop even the most demanding youngster complaining: "I've got nothing to do - I'm bored!"

Go4Fun is available free from all sports centres throughout the district and the council's leisure services team at The Council House in Burcot Lane, Bromsgrove, on 01527 881380.
