BROMSGROVE'S 'Street Theatre 2005' promises to be the biggest and best yet as it celebrates it's tenth anniversary this year.

The five Wednesdays in August will be jam-packed with free all-round entertainment in a programme full of fun and frolics for everyone. Top-class acts include old favourites like Heir of Insanity, De Ramos Acrobats and Circo Rum Ba Ba's mammoth whale, to new attractions like the Black Eagles and the Hoodwick Tock Tick show, as well as the unique Strangelings, with their Gaiety Engine.

As well as the must-see headline acts, there will be a host of other attractions including children's artwork, circus skills and workshops, face painting, Mendhi painting, hair braiding, rural crafts, Bread and Butter Theatre, The Van Dunk Brothers, Bright Sparks, and Bruce Airhead.

Sponsored by Asda, the fun starts at 10am on Wednesday, August 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31, with the main performances at 10.30am, 11.30am, 12.30pm and 1.30pm, finishing at 2.30pm on the first four days and 4.30pm on the final day.

Councillor June Griffiths, (Con-Alvechurch), cabinet member responsible for leisure, said: "Please come along and join us on the Recreation Ground - bring your own picnic and chill out. It's a month-long exciting extravaganza of merriment and mirth."
