Christine Peer shared her love of plants with us at our last meeting, bringing some lovely examples of the shrubs and flowers that bring pleasure at this time of year. She was disappointed that she couldn't show us more perennial flowers due to the dry weather, but it was a very enjoyable evening.
Our evening spent at Meadow Farm at Feckenham was warm and barmy and we were surrounded by the most wonderful plants displayed in a garden worthy of Chelsea. The nursery was a source of delight to many members, in fact I think many of us thought we were in Aladdin's Cave.
Today (Wednesday) Vic is going to take us on a trip to the valleys of Andora, which should be a very interesting evening.
Hagley Village Show will be held on September 3. Please enter your wonderful veg, fruit, flowers, crafts and photographs. The more the better. Remember to come and support your own show.
Visitors are always welcome to the gardeners' club. You don't have to be a gardener to enjoy our company and we have excellent talks and outings.
