President Betty Wolsey welcomed members to the July meeting. Jean Brooks collected payment for 2006 diaries and calendars. Betty Gibbs read out the minutes of the last meeting and outlined future social events with dates for diaries.
Members were reminded that there will not be an August meeting, but the planned outing to Stratford-upon-Avon on August 11 is to leave Stoke Prior Village Hall at 10.30am.
Catherine Davidson gave a verbal account of her attendance at the AGM, which was held, in the Albert Hall. She informed us she was in fact the delegate for a group of five WI branches. A full report of the day's events was made available to members.
Robert Miller was introduced to give a presentation on plant propagation. Mr Miller was thanked for his very informative demonstration. Tea, biscuits and conversation followed. Christine Jones, with her sweet peas, won the flower of the month competition, and raffle prize was drawn.
