MAY I use the columns of Worcester News to thank Max Sinclair for sending me those wonderful photographs of vessels on the Severn.
There was a marvellous photograph of the Holt Castle, the destruction of which was an act of gross vandalism. In the picture, the steamer has just passed through the arches of Worcester Bridge. One can see the Glovers Needle spire in the background. Two other photos show the lovely Belle. Then we have a boat called Westerndale, while yet another photo shows a narrow boat belonging to R M Sinclair. The most intriguing of all the photographs shows a sailing craft touching the arch of a bridge. Thank you so much, Max.
D E MARGRETT,
Worcester.
