GOD and First Midland Red evidently have one thing in common, they both move in mysterious ways. First mystery why are so many First Midland Red buses charging around the county with 'Sorry not in Service' banners on them? Are their drivers exercising them, or are they just bored with picking up passengers?
Second mystery from late afternoon onwards there seems to be a steady migration on 'Not in Service' vehicles out of Worcester in a north-westerly direction. Where are they heading, Kidderminster, Wolverhampton, Oswestry? The woman who wrote recently complaining about the age of vehicles used on the city service should consider herself lucky. Customers in the rural parts of the Vale of Evesham are likely to be served by a traditional high-floor single decker at least 20 years old, and it is interesting to see trainee drivers cutting their teeth on, among others, a vehicle over 30 years old.
