Worcestershire League
ASTWOOD Bank captain Dan Evans hailed his team's "good result" away at Romsley in a three-wicket victory on Saturday in Division One.
The whole team played well, helped by three wickets from Pete Alexander and a stand of 50 from Paul Boycott.
Evans said: "We played really well all day on a not very good wicket and this has got us away from the relegation mire with a few tough games to go."
Next up are second-in-the-league side Kington, who had a four-wicket victory against neighbours Alvechurch on Saturday.
Evans said: "They are a good side and it's going to be tough.
''We will look at getting as many points as possible from the match."
Alvechurch next play third- placed Stourbridge at home, looking to put the Kington game behind them.
In Division Three, Feckenham failed to maintain their form with a six-wicket home defeat against Oldswinford.
They next play Stourport away.
Meanwhile, in Division Six, Hewell got back to winning ways with a 112-run victory over Droitwich Spa.
Batting first, Hewell's impressive innings of 316-2 included 134 from Mallard and a 100 not out from Gibson.
They next play bottom club West Malvern away.
