Birmingham Premier League
REDDITCH captain Dan Protherough is looking forward to the next fixture after another disappointing loss away at Worcester.
Batting first, Redditch made an excellent start to their innings thanks to Simon Allison's 101 in 29 overs.
He was dismissed with the score at 131.
Russell Southwick made 45 and Protherough 42 but the Redditch batsmen again failed to post a challenging score on the small ground, settling at 242-8.
In reply, Worcester knocked off the runs for the loss of six wickets in 50 overs, leaving Redditch in mid-table of the third division.
The skipper believes his team are lacking in a little self-confidence and is looking to start a revival on Saturday at home against bottom club Lichfield.
He said: "We need a little belief to get back to what we were doing at the beginning of the season.
"We are a good side and it is important to get a result on Saturday.
''I may put in a bit of experience to bolster us,'' he added.
"And if we do get the result, we are then facing two winnable games."
In the second division, Studley maintained their excellent form with a five-wicket victory away at third-from-bottom Old Elizabethans on Saturday.
Next up, they play bottom side Kings Heath at home, 1pm start.
