CHRIS Bromley, of Redditch Golf Club, has won the Worcester County Matchplay Championship for the second year in a row.
The 23 year old is the third person to achieve this in more than 30 years.
Bromley (above) took Chris Heeley, from Moseley, to the 19th hole at Kidderminster to win with a birdie.
He won the 2004 event at Blackwell.
Meanwhile, in the West Midland League, Redditch is one point behind Zone leader Fulford Heath with one game in hand.
Redditch beat Fulford Heath 3 - 1 at home on July 19.
They have two games to play and Fulford Heath has only one.
Redditch is finding the going tough in their now exalted position in Division One of the West Midland Scratch League, having won promotion in the last three consecutive seasons from the fourth to the top division.
But team captain Gavin Hawkins is confident Redditch will retain their place in Division One.
