WORCESTER Warriors director of rugby John Brain says it's great to have his full squad back together for training.

Skipper Pat Sanderson and scrum-half Andy Gomarsall were given extra leave after returning from England duty.

The pair were allowed time to recover after playing in the Churchill Cup in Canada but returned to Sixways this week.

Brain said: "We've done some pretty good work over the last couple of weeks that we'll continue. It's good to have a full compliment."

He is happy with the performance of his players and believes they will be in fine fettle when the season gets underway against Gloucester on September 4.

He said: "They are doing a six-day week programme involving nine or ten sessions. It's fairly intensive."

Brain will begin working with new head coach Anthony Eddy this week after his arrival from Australia.

And the Warriors director of rugby has stated he will only add to the current personnel if a quality player becomes available.

He added: "We don't need additional players. We've still got possible openings in the squad but the position hasn't changed. We'll continue to look at possibilities."

Tickets go on sale for the Gloucester game from Monday but will be limited to a maximum of four per person due to the predicted high demand.

Meanwhile, Worcester's Under 17 Girls, the national cup and sevens title holders, started their Canadian tour with a 55-10 victory over Stoney Creek in Hamilton, Ontario.

Great combinations by forwards and backs alike created a 43-0 half-time lead. The combination of injuries, extreme heat and their resilient opponents meant an even second period with two tries apiece.
