THE joint funeral service for a Herefordshire couple killed in the London bombings will be held in Ledbury on Friday, August 5, church officials have announced.
Thirty-year-old Lee Har-ris, originally from Here-ford, and 36-year-old Sam-antha Badham, whose family live in Ledbury, were caught up in the blast between the King's Cross and Russell Square stations in the capital on Thursday, July 7.
A spokeswoman for the Diocese of Hereford said the funeral has been scheduled for Friday, August 5 at St Michael's Church in Ledbury and will be led by the Rev Sue Strutt, assisted by the Rev Kay Garlick.
Lee was critically injured in the Tube station explosion and died from his injuries just over a week later, while Samantha's body was formally identified a few days later.
The couple - who lived in London - were brought back to the county last week and an inquest into their deaths was opened and adjourned. The families of Lee and Samantha had talked of planning a joint funeral for the couple in Ledbury - where Samantha grew up - to keep the devoted couple as close in death as they were in life.
