THE National Symphony Orchestra has announced its programme for next month's evening of music with Katherine Jenkins at Ragley Hall, Alcester.

While Katherine will be performing tracks from her two highly successful number-one chart albums on August 14, the NSO will be adding a dash of the Proms to the night.

Highlights range from the opening overture of Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro, through Gershwin's Summertime and Handel's Arrival of The Queen of Sheba, to the Liberty Bell March (the Monty Python theme), Jersualem, Fantasia on British Sea Songs and Elgar's Pomp & Circumstance March no.1.

The audience is once again being encouraged to bring picnics, chairs and flags to the concert, which ends with a firework finale.
