THE hot weather has meant a boom time for tourism in a Vale village.
Broadway's restaurants and bed and breakfasts houses are also profiting due to the fine weather.
Dottie Friedli, who is in charge of the Tourist Information Centre in Broadway, said: "The restaurants, pubs and bed and breakfasts did especially well during June and now July thanks to the weather.
"But, on the other hand, I think the heat puts people off other things, like shopping for clothes for example.
"Despite this we always have a steady flow of people throughout the year, wanting to check out Broadway's top quality shops and restaurants."
Dottie added that the busiest times for visitors to Broadway are not when you would necessarily expect.
Although the past two months have been busy, August is not a peak time for visitors to the village. It may surprise some that the streets are very busy during the months of May and October.
Dottie added: "Obviously the summer months are full of families making use of the school holidays, but during May and October we get a different sort of visitor. These tend to be the ones trying to avoid the school holiday rush, those who are retired or people just taking a short break to get away from work for a while."
