AT the July meeting, acupuncturist Wendy Lee from Stourport gave a talk on this ancient healing treatment. She passed round several acupuncture needles for their inspection, then gave a practical demonstration of a heat treatment which involved Mrs Lee holding a preheated stick of moxa herb over an arm or leg.
This month's competition was for a decorated alice band but there was only one entry.
The flower of the month was better supported and was won by Stella Wilcox, with June Valencia second and Barbara Smith third.There are still places left on the outing to Stapeley Water Gardens in Cheshire on Tuesday, August 9, departing from the Talbot Hotel at 9am.
The next meeting in the Parish Hall will be on September 13 at 7.30pm. This will include a talk entitled 'ewe and ewe' by Liz Smith.
