FAMILY hands-on weeks are being staged at the Worcestershire County Museum in Hartlebury, near Kidderminster, through August.

The themed events include Landscape Week, when there will activities with shells and stones, Environment Week when natural materials will be used and Medieval Week when clay tiles and sugar plums will be crafted. There will also be Toys and Games Week when there will be fun with the likes of jumping jacks and origami dragons, Past Times Week will look back at Roman, Victorian and World War II days, while Art and Craft Week will focus on the likes of paper marbling and photo grams.

The museum is open from 10am to 5pm Tuesdays to Fridays and 11am to 5pm on weekends and Bank Holidays. The activity sessions (£3 adults and £1.50 children) run from 10.30am to 1pm and from 2pm to 4.30pm on weekdays and from 11am on weekends. For more information, call 01299 250416.
