WITH reference to your article regarding the tank traps at Rock (Shuttle/Times & News, July 14), at the bottom of the Hollow in Bewdley there are three tank traps situated between some buttresses of a wall.
I have tried several times to have the weeds and undergrowth removed from these traps which were probably intended to block Welch Gate.
They are part of Bewdley's heritage but unfortunately the powers that be believe that the removal of the weeds may weaken the wall!
I believe there are also some tank traps near the rowing club.
