BAYTON gained their first victory of the season in Wilden Industrial Estates Cricket League, beating Sportsman by 95 runs in Wednesday Division C.

Steve Morris hit 76no and Jim Shimwell 54 to aid Bayton's win, with B Humphries taking 3-4. Rowan Vorster scored 113no for West Hagley, who now go top of the Premier Division with Cookley B.

West Hagley beat Lye by 117 runs, with Richard Mander taking 4-3, while Cookley were beaten by Lye Town A by eight wickets.

In Division C, Hartlebury beat Areley Kings by nine wickets, but are still in second place as leaders, George, beat Arley by five wickets.

There was only one match on Sunday, between Coombs Wood and Wolverley Social, and the match was abandoned, with teams awarded two points each.
