NEW Road favourite Graeme Hick takes on the Australians -- possibly for the last time -- admitting it is the ultimate challenge.

The 39-year-old Worcestershire batsman has tasted countless duels with the Aussies for more than 15 years in England and County colours.

Hick anticipates another challenging contest with the old adversaries in the three-day tourist match that begins tomorrow.

"Australia have certainly proved in recent years that they are the best team in the world," said Hick.

"They're the best because their side is full of world-class players. Australia have got all their bases covered. They have very few weaknesses.

"That's the challenge for us. Wherever you play cricket, you want to pit yourself against the best.

"It's a great opportunity for our players. More than anything else, it should be a great fixture for our supporters.

"It does not really make up for being out of the Twenty20 Cup. But it's another game in the calendar and one we are looking forward to.

"I'm looking for a good game of cricket and good weather. I just hope it stays nice for the next three days."
