A MUSICAL Easter is promised at one Worcester venue staging a selection of young hopeful bands aiming to rock the socks off audiences.

Che, Two Minute Warning, Colour Moves and Utoxator will all be playing the city's Marr's Bar on Easter Sunday, March 27.

Two Minute Warning deliver up a adrenaline-fuelled rock with a thick dollop of electronics, combining both beautifully melodic and screamingly distorted guitars with dance rhythms and a 'louder is always better' ethos.

Meanwhile, Worcestershire five-piece Che have received rapturous praise from various corners of the music press and do a fine line in eccentric riffing combined with awesome female vocals.

And Worcester's Colour Moves bring their own brand of off-kilter rock, while Leicester's Utoxator provide a more than ample kick-start to the evening with some of the catchiest emo rock choruses around.

Tickets for the gig, which kicks off at 8pm, are £3.

On Easter Monday the Marr's Bar hosts a trio of bands.

Birmingham-based 35 Seconds serve up experimental electronic Smiths-esque indie tunes while Pushmeunder deliver epic scaled skyscapers of sound.

Last but not least, Orbit: Dear-Beacon are Malvern's best kept secret with their immense ambient compositions to fly to. Doors open at 8pm for the gig.
