BROMSGROVE and Redditch Athletic Club's juniors performed well to finish second in the final Young Athletes League in Bath.

Sprinter Jade Peake was one of the stars of the show for the team, which had been depleted by holidays, and was named athlete of the meeting

Peake won the 100 metres and 200m in the under-17s age section.

Kota Suzuki won the 100m and 200m and jumped 4.6m in the long jump.

Sean Duffill was also in sparkling form for the team, winning the 100m, 200m and 400m.

In the under-13s girls' section Paizlee Hibbert won 75m and 150m.

Laura Porter set a personal best time of two minutes and 45.8 seconds to win the 800m B race.

Rosie Walker was runner-up in the long jump B and 1200m A race.

Tomasina Ball came second in the 800m A, setting a personal best of 2.43.6mins and won the 70m hurdles.

Rachel Baker won the 70m hurdles B, high jump and came second in the long jump.

Kate Racki was victorious in the 150m, while Helen Racki won the shot put B and Ashleigh Wood won the high jump B.

Dewi Hammond won the 100m and long jump B events in the under-13 age section and Charles Beech was second in the 200m B.

In the under-15s age group Tuesday Bickley was second in the 100m A, first in the 200m B and winner in the discus B. Letitia Merrill won the 100m B and 200m B events and came second in the long jump B.

Amy Irish was a triple winner, clinching success in the 300m, 1500m and discus.

Rachel White won the 800m, 300m B and high jump A, while Kelly Duffill won the 800m B, came third in the 75m hurdles A and second in the long jump A.

Tom Wedgbury won the javelin and came second in the 800m. Sean Bowden won the 100m, 1500m and finished runner-up in the 400m B.

Simon Lanckham was second in the 3000m, third in the 75m hurdles and second in the javelin with a personal best throw of 20.97m.

Adrian Tan was runner-up in the 400m and won the 200m B.

Adam Peacock was second in the long jump B and 3000m B events.

Dan Poole was second in the 1500m B and third in the 100m B, while Nathan Poole won the high jump A and 800m B.

Sophie Laxton won the 80m hurdles in the under-17s section, she also came second in the 3000m and runner-up in the shot put.
