BROMSGROVE Olympique rider Genny Billington took on the best young cyclists in the country in the Kerry Youth Tour event in Ireland.
The teenager wore the yellow jersey, after she won a stage of the course which is held in County Kerry in southern Ireland.
She was riding for the West Midlands Cycling team, which was representing Britain.
Billington was one of the top riders in her class over the three-day event and was never out of the top four, as she finished third overall.
She was also the first British rider to return from Ireland with a prize, after she won the green jersey for having the highest points score. The West Midlands team have been competing for the last six-years at the internationally renowned event.
