NATURE loving children from a Droitwich nursery took a walk on the wild side during a holiday club.

Youngsters from Safehands Nursery visited the Lickey Hills and were given a guided tour by one of the nature park rangers.

The children, aged between five and 14, joined staff to explore the site. They were shown different foods, wildlife and plants and also enjoyed playing on the adventure playground before a picnic lunch.

Safehands supervisor Ruth Johnson said: "The children were fascinated by what animals lived in different trees and what berries they could and couldn't eat."

Staff will now be taking the pre-school pupils at the nursery on the same trip on Monday.
