Droitwich Spa WI celebrated in August with a meeting in the garden of its president, Margaret Wainwright.
It had been planned to meet in the garden in July, but the appalling weather on the day forced a change of venue. As the secretary was not able to attend, business was kept to the minimum. Members were delighted to hear that a donation in excess of £70 had been made to Acorns Children's Hospice as a result of bring and buy sales. It was agreed that this was an excellent effort from such a small group.
Delicious cakes made by Margaret were enjoyed with tea, while members explored the garden.
The next meeting will be at the Heritage Centre at 2pm on Wednesday, September 7, with a speaker on collage and creative embroidery.
