BARNT Green Spartak will be aiming to get what manager GJ Singh hopes will be a promotion winning campaign off to a strong start on Saturday (2.45pm kick off).
Spartak face a tough opener to the Midland Combination Premier Division when they entertain Coventry Copsewood at Lye Meadow.
Copsewood, formerly known as Marconi, have been one of the Premier Division's toughest teams in recent years and will be aiming to go for the title also this year.
Spartak go into their opener on the back of a defeat, after losing 2-0 to Barrow Town on Saturday.
Before the defeat Spartak had got into the winning habit, beating Sporting Khalsa 2-0, Chasetown 2-1 and Studley 4-3.
New signings Jonathan Edwards, Simeon Smith and Emad Bouanane are all set to start the match.
