DROITWICH may be struggling in the County League, but they continue to set the pace on a Sunday.

The 72 run victory over Bewdley in the Fearnley Worcestershire Sunday League ensured they remain top of the First XI Division.

Australian Josh Staines hit 78 runs as Spa raced to 254 all out.

Martin Woodward then took three wickets, as Bewdley were dismissed for 182.

Bromsgrove gained a comfortable ten wicket victory over bottom side Swindon.

Swindon were bowled out for 47 and Bromsgrove made 49-0 in reply.

In the Second XI Division Ombersley were beaten by Stourbridge.

Ombersley were bowled out for 137 before Stourbridge made 138-2.

Barnt Green got the better of Coombs Wood.

Wood made 189-7, but Green recorded 193-7 in reply.

Droitwich defeated Bewdley by 33 runs.

Spa hit 193 all out and then bowled Bewdley out for 160.

On Sunday, August 21 Bromsgrove go to Halesowen, Droitwich travel to Barnards Green. In the Second XI Division Bromsgrove take on Coombs Wood, Ombersley entertain Bretforton and Spa take on Barnards Green at home (2pm start).
