COMPLETION of the first phase of restoration work on Kidderminster's war memorial will be marked in a rededication ceremony.
The Archdeacon of Dudley, the Ven Fred Trethewey, will perform the duty during a parade and service, on Sunday, September 4, to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the end of the Second World War.
Kidderminster's Charter Trustees, the Kidderminster War Memorials Conservation Trust and ex-services organisations are teaming up to arrange the events, with Canon Owain Bell, team rector of the town.
Representatives of the services groups will muster at New Road car park at 10.30am before moving off in procession at 11am.
Mr Bell will lead a commemoration service at the church at 11.45am before the march back to the town hall at 12.30pm.
