MORE than 200 young people partied in Bewdley during the first of two social events aimed at 10 to 17 year olds in Wyre Forest.
The Party in the Park, at Bewdley Youth and Leisure Centre last Thursday, proved so popular that organisers had to send out for extra food, according to the town's beat manager, PC Nigel Barter.
He said: "It was a great success and they had a fantastic time."
PC Barter extended an invitation to youngsters from Bewdley to attend the second Party in the Park, at Stourport today, saying: "We can guarantee there will be lots of fun".
The Stourport event is being held in the town's Memorial Park, from 5pm until 9pm. Attractions include live bands, a barbecue, bucking bronco and a mobile skate park.
Both events have been arranged by a committee of young people with support from a range of organisations including West Mercia Constabulary, Wyre Forest District Council and Kidderminster and District Youth Trust.
