THE new owners of MG Rover, Nanjing Automobile, appear to be starting as they mean to go on by flying their own chefs in from China.
The Chinese owners apparently do not rate English sandwiches, nor do they like the standard Chinese restaurants in the area.
Chefs are not the only people they have "imported". The company has also brought in scores of engineering and manufacturing experts from eastern China.
Nanjing is paying £53m for the Longbridge plant and says it intends to use it to produce MGs - which would employ about 500 people. However, the firm has yet to put forward any plans for restarting manufacturing.
