WORCESTER Warriors director of rugby John Brain is not "unduly worried" by any of the injuries his players picked up during Saturday's 24-20 victory at Llanelli.

The coaching staff made a number of substitutions during the pre-season friendly and prop Chris Horsman was among the players to leave the field.

But Brain is hopeful that none of the injuries were serious.

He said: "For mostly injury reasons -- just slight precautions -- we took a lot of players on and a lot of players off."

Tim Collier, Andre Van Niekerk and Siaosi Vaili were all withdrawn for tactical reasons but Thinus Delport, Matt Powell, Tony Windo and Horsman were taken off with minor injuries.

Brain said: "All the rest (of the replacements) were prompted by just a little bit of an injury concern, a niggle, and not wanting to push players too hard.

"It's early days but I don't think there's anything we should be unduly worried about."

Brain was delighted with the overall performance against the Celtic League side.

"I think we've got a pretty big pack and technically they are not too bad either," he said. "It was good to see them, particularly early on in the scrum, putting pressure on Llanelli.

"I think our line-out was ok and we had a platform on which to play. We looked physical and a lot of players stood up and played very well."

Warriors' points arrived through tries from Ben Hinshelwood and flying Frenchman Thomas Lombard, as well as the boot of James Brown, who kicked three penalties, a conversion and a drop goal.

Mark Tucker, captured from Northampton, was the only new signing to start the match for Worcester but four others appeared from the bench.
