BEWARE all visitors to the Mill Pond when they next enjoy a visit to Castlemorton common.

Malvern Hills Conservators (MHC) have stated that because naughty people have been piling rubbish up against the three full litter bins situated around the Mill Pond, they are going to close them up.

I would assume that overfilled bins, particularly in the summer, would be emptied more often.

The public should be commended, not chastised, for at least trying to access the bins.

It appears that by authorising the closing of the bins, the Conservators are obviously hoping the public will take its rubbish home. This line of thought is not realistic and consequently unlikely to work. If they reason that closing the bins will stop the public dropping litter, perhaps he may also deduce that by employing the new police-endorsed ' litter posse' to sneakily hide behind the ample gorse bush cover afforded by the common, MHDC may even gain some pecuniary advantage to allow them to afford some extra bins or even empty them more often.
