NEW Road is gearing up for an enthralling Ashes climax when England Women clash with Australia tomorrow.

The rivals lock horns in the second and deciding four-day Test match at Worcestershire's home ground, following a drawn first Test at Hove.

The home nation enter the fixture on the back of their first victory over Australia for 12 years. After losing the opening two one-day internationals in a best of five series, including a defeat at Kidderminster, England reduced the deficit with a narrow two-run victory at Stratford on Sunday.

New Road chief executive Mark Newton is hopeful of a good crowd for the match.

"I think we would like to get between 500 to 1,000 each day. The Womens Ashes is up for grabs and there is a great deal of interest," said Newton.

Admission is £5 for adults, which covers each day's play, and free for children.
