LEAFLETS giving full details of the 2005/06 season of concerts are now available from the Tourist Information Centre and local libraries or by calling 546056.
Sadly, for financial reasons, there will be only five concerts rather than the usual seven but the normal high standard is guaranteed.
The season opens on October 1 with a piano recital by Iain Farrington. The main work in A Night of Light is Gershwin's original version of Rhapsody in Blue and the programme also includes works by William Walton and Dave Brubeck.
Ulrich Heinen, renowned recitalist and co-principal cellist with the CBSO, will give the November concert with pianist Robert Markham.
Judith Hall, flute, and Hugh Webb, harp, recognised as one of Britain's most imaginative duos will appear in March.
Mexican guitarist Morgan Szymanski plays in April and the season will end with the Vivo Ensemble - an Irish clarinettist, Swedish mezzo and Malaysian pianist - who all studied at Birmingham Conservatoire.
Adult membership costs £27, with concessions £22.
Individual concert tickets will be available at £7.50 and £6.50.
Accompanied school age children are admitted free.
