IAN and Tony braved the pouring rain to cook sausages and chicken thighs at the annual society barbecue while inside, Margaret and Beryl provided a variety of food, rounded off with Pat's cream-covered carrot cake with drinks in the hand of regular barman Trevor.
Members are reminded the next meeting is on September 14 at 8pm at Shirley Community Centre.
The agenda will be show preparation for the event to be held on Saturday, September 17, at Earlswood Village Hall, Shutt Lane, Earlswood.
The show opens to the public at 1.30pm with a sale of flowers at 6pm.
