REDDITCH is among towns targeted by a "high impact" police operation to crack down on alcohol-related violence.
"Operation Presence" will see high visibility police patrols in the town centre during the bank holiday weekend, from Thursday to Sunday.
Police will be working in partnership with other organisations, such as Trading Standards, to run the operation.
Acting Chief Inspector, Paul Williamson, said alcohol-related disorder traditionally increased over the holiday weekend.
He added: "We'll be taking a tough stance on all alcohol related crime, including violence and drink driving.
Officers will be handing out fixed penalty notices and fines to "disorderly" people.
Anyone taken into custody will be referred to the Alcohol Arrest Referral Scheme to prevent re-offending.
