EVESHAM Wheelers were represented in last Sunday's Cardiff RCC 50-mile Time Trial by Michelle Parsons and Adrian Main.

The former recorded a time of two hours 18 minutes and 40 seconds to win the ladies event, while her clubmate was pleased to record 2.17.20 to beat his personal best time by nine minutes and achieve a veteran age related standard of +43 seconds.

In the three-way Inter-Club ten-miler held on the Harvington course with the Cheltenham and Stratford clubs, Evesham lacked strength in numbers and came last in the team challenge despite having two of the fastest three finishers.

Once again, it was the veterans who saved the day for the Whe-elers with a runaway victory in the ' best three riders on standard ' times.

The 35 riders experienced unpleasant conditions with a strong wind on the return leg though the threatening rain did hold off.

Nine members visited the Mal-verns on Sunday in full sunshine, passing through Drakes Broughton, Defford, Upton and Wyche Cutting to the coffee stop.

The return route took in Well-and, Upton, Defford and Elmley Castle.

This weekend's run is to Wootton Wawen, starting at 9am outside Argos in the High Street and will cater for all abilities.
