WAR veterans and pensioners enjoyed a mouth-watering feast of fish and chips on a leisurely cruise down the Severn.
The group was invited on yesterday's trip, organised by the West Midlands War Pensions Committee, an organisation dedicated to ensuring that veterans and pensioners receive what they are entitled to. Chairman Mike Burrows said that the day was a huge success and that it educated people about the important work done by the group. "It was a beautiful day and we got some positive feedback," he said."Everyone enjoyed the fish and chips. People said that they were the best that they'd tasted."
The trip was well attended by about 40 veterans and their families, who were welcomed to the city by Mayor of Worcester, Aubrey Tarbuck.
