IT PROVED hard going for members contesting the Severn Shield match at Liscombe.

However, Alan Gardner managed to put four lbs and 11 ozs into the net to see off the challenge of David Jones (3.12.0) and Simon Stewart (1.11.8).

There's a members only match at The Fishery on Sunday for those not attending the annual Evesham Festival.

The Grant Davis Memorial Trophy will be fished for on Saturday, September 3, book in on the usual number.

Members are also urged to confirm their attendance for the annual outing on Sunday, September 11.
