I SAW my doctor towards the end of July and told him that I had a problem with my right eye due to a discharge, soreness and feeling as if there was something in it.
After examining me he said he would write to the Princess of Wales' Community Hospital to get me an appointment at their eye clinic. I received a letter earlier this month from the appointments co-ordinator/opthalmolgy service informing me that I am now on the waiting list and that the anticipated waiting time for this appointment is 13 weeks.
I am 92 years of age and this is my most precious possession they are talking about, my eyesight.
