POLICE have made a national appeal for information about a man found dead in woods at Hebden Bridge in Yorkshire.

He had no form of identification on him and he was found on Wednesday, August 3, by a man walking his dog. A search and rescue team was needed to recover the body because it was in such an awkward place.

But extensive enquiries have not yet led to his identity.

He was white, 5ft 9ins, with mid-brown short receding hair, and blue eyes. He was dressed in a black top, grey T-shirt with an image of the Statue of Liberty on, blue jeans, two pairs of mismatched socks and blue trainers. He appeared to have been living rough for a few days.

The man also had the tip of his little left finger missing, and a tattoo on the inner part of his left arm of a 'V' and an equals sign with the letters TNT tattooed beneath. On his right forearm he had a tattoo of an eagle landing and on the right upper arm the letters RP with a flash of electricity underneath.
