REGARDING the sailing boat picture in the Wednesday, August 17 edition of the Worcester News - I think this boat is called a dhow. I have seen one sailing up the river going into King's Lynn and also one anchored in the river at Norwich.
According to the dictionary, they originated in Arabia. I think they were very popular in Norfolk at one time.
