WORCESTER Warriors prop Lee Fortey will find out tomorrow how long he faces on the sidelines after dislocating his left shoulder against Benetton Treviso.

Fortey suffered the injury when a scrum collapsed in Friday night's pre-season game and was rushed to hospital after being stretchered from the pitch with the help of several teamamtes.

He will have an MRI scan tomorrow, which will give him a better idea of how long the recovery period will be.

Sixways director of rugby John Brain said: "Lee Fortey is out of hospital but he's dislocated his shoulder. He needs an MRI scan to ascertain the extent of the damage. After that we can assess how long he will be out with it."

It is a massive blow for Fortey. He has been out with shoulder problem before but this injury is not connected.

Brain said: "He had a tear in one of the ligaments in that shoulder but it's not in any way related. It's a separate injury. It's a dislocation and he's in a lot of pain.

"Hhe's not in the best of spirits. It's an injury that could prevent him from playing for some time. We just need to get the scan results and take it from there."
