PROMISING stage acts are being given the chance to get their name in lights in a major national talent competition.
Chicago Rock Caf, in Worcester's New Street, is taking part in Luminar Leisure's Rock Academy event, which aims to shoot one plucky entrant to stardom.
Singers, musician and bands are all being invited to take part in the competition in September. There will be four local heats in September and October before the winner of the Worcester final is crowned and walks away with £100.
The local winners will then enter a regional final and at stake will be £500 and a chance to progress to the national final and the opportunity of taking the top prize.
