DROITWICH'S John Bickerton experienced a disappointing weekend at the BMW International Open.

The professional finished the European tour event at the Golfclub Munchen Nord-Eichenried 71st, missing the cut, after carding a three under-par score of 141.

Rounds of 71 and 70 weren't enough to ensure he made it through to the final two rounds in Germany.

Bickerton will be competing in the Omega European Masters in Switzerland this weekend.

Belbroughton's Matthew Morris faded away after a bright start in the Morson International Pro-Am Challenge, at the Marriott Wolsley Park Hotel and Country Club, over the weekend to finish 53rd.

Morris made a blistering start to the Challenge Tour event, topping the leaderboard at the end of the first round after he hit an impressive seven-under-par score of 63.

However, he was unable to replicate that excellent form and ended the tournament with a two-over-par score of 282.

After his fine start Morris suffered a disastrous second round, when he scored a four-over-par round of 74.

A round of 75 in the third round killed off his chances of a top ten finish.

Despite rallying with a level-par round of 70 Morris ended the Pro-Am Challenge in 53rd place.

Morris will be competing in the BA CA Golf Open, sponsored by Telekom Austria, at Fontana Golf Club this weekend, starting on Thursday, September 1.
