A YOUNG man from Droitwich Spa was killed in a car crash on the A38 by-pass in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Eighteen-year-old Robert Blythe, of Hunters Close, died after the crash which took place on the A38 just underneath the Ombersley fly-over just before 3am.
An inquest into his death was set to be opened and adjourned this afternoon at Worcestershire County Coroner's Court in Stourport-upon-Severn.
A spokesman for south Worcestershire police said: "It is believed the vehicle involved was a red Subaru Impreza and that vehicle has been located by police."
A man has now been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
He has been bailed to appear at Worcester police station.
Robert was a garden centre assistant at Webbs of Wychbold but a spokesman from the firm said it had been asked by Robert's family not to make a comment.
