LEE Adams tasted the highs and lows of football in the space of three days over the bank holiday.

The Feckenham boss saw his side trounced 7-3 at Meir KA on Saturday only to watch them bounce back with a 3-1 victory at home to Cadbury Athletic on Monday.

"It took me 24 hours to come to terms with Saturday's result and yet we looked an accomplished side on Monday," the Millers manager admitted.

"We notoriously start badly but we have six points from our first four games - we just have to stop conceding silly goals.

"At any level of football, if you make errors at one end and miss chances at the other then it will cost you dearly."

Adams admitted his players had not helped themselves at Meir.

"We took the lead after 30 seconds and my lot, remembering that we beat them by four towards the end of last season, thought they were going to stroll it.

"But Meir were level two minutes later, then scored another and all of a sudden we were struggling."

Adams made a number of changes for the Cadbury game and it paid dividends with the Millers taking the honours thanks to an Aaron Barnett goal and a Ryan Field double.

They head to Alveston on Saturday (12.30pm ko).
