A BROMSGROVE theatre group will attempt to reveal the secrets behind the ever-popular James Bond fight scenes.

All and Sundry Theatre group will run 'James Bond Style Workshop' - A beginners guide to unarmed stage combat techniques on Saturday September 10.

The event will give local actors and movie buffs alike the chance to do it like the professionals.

The groups fight arranger Raph Aldis will run the workshop at Rowney Green Peace Hall and teach a range of basic techniques and sequences that will show performers how to safely portray scenes of dramatic conflict.

Chairman of All and sundry Paul Vollans, said: "Good punch-ups and brawls have wowed both theatrical and movie audiences for generations.

"Theatrical dramas, John Wayne films, James Bond movies and countless other stage and screen productions have all contained gripping fight sequences that have had audiences on the edge of their seats, stunned into silence, rolling around the aisles or cheering for more."

The workshop is open to members of the public aged 16 or over and will cost £5 per person, with an additional charge of £2 per person for those coming along afterwards to see the demonstrations.

For those taking part, a reasonable degree of fitness and mobility is required. Places are limited so anyone interested should call 07813308672 for further details.

Raph will also put his had to directing when the group perform Arsenic and Old Lace at Bromsgrove's Artrix from October 26 - 29.

Tickets for that performance can be obtained from the new Artrix box office number on 01527 577330.
