VICTORIA Barnt Green stayed at the top of the Bromsgrove Advertiser/Messenger League Division One after being held to a 1-1 home draw by second placed Star and Garter.

Goals from Barnt Green's man of the match Hobbis and Star and Garter's Worley ensured the sides finished all square after the top of table clash on Sunday August 28. However the result meant Star dropped to fourth.

Cofton Celtic took advantage of the draw to move into second after a 2-0 away win against Crabmill. Goals from Chris Woolley and Martin Rush grabbed the points.

A brace from British Oak's Ainge was not enough as the home side crashed 4-2 to Church FC who moved up to third.

In Division Two, Bromsgrove Gen Reserves remained unbeaten and stayed top after a 2-1 victory over Church FC Reserves thanks to a solid all round team performance.

Rubery Royal British Legion shared the points with Victoria Barnt Green Reserves after an eight-goal thriller. Shaun May grabbed two for Green with Roy Heath hitting a brace for Rubery as the match finished 4-4.

Turks Head kept the pressure on at the top after coming away 2-1 winners against Navigation.

A goal from M Rees ensured the points.

Dog and Pheasant stayed top of the Advertiser/Messenger League Division Three after brushing aside Nailers Arms 3-1.

Waseley United moved onto nine points and overtook Sugarbrook to go to second after beating them 3-1.

AFC Golden Lions beat home side Leisureline 2-1 thanks to a brace from Stewart James.

Freemasons joined Lickey End Social on six points after defeating them 6-3 during the goal filled match. Freemasons shared out the goals with five players getting in on the act.
